Responsibility for the Great Conmission

Great commission

18 And Jesus came up and spoke with them, and said to them, All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Just as my Father has sent me I am also sending you.
19 Go, therefore, and convert all nations; and baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit;
20 And teach them to obey everything that I have commanded you; and, behold, I am with you all the days, to the end of the world. Amen.”
Matthew 28:18-20 Peshitta, Lamsa

Christ commandment to Peter

“15 When they had broken their fast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these things? He said to him, Yes, my Lord; you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my male lambs.
16 He said to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me? He said to him, Yes, my Lord; you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my sheep.
17 He said to him again the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me? It grieved Peter because he said to him the third time, Do you love me? So he said to him, My Lord, you understand well everything, you know that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my female lambs.”
John 21:15-17 Peshitta, Lamsa

Saving the soul

“19 My brethren, if any of you do err from the way of the truth, and some one converts him from his error,
20 Let him know that he who converts a sinner from the error of his way, shall save his soul from death, and shall wipe out a multitude of sins.
James 5:19-20 Peshitta, Lamsa

Responsibility, warnings, results

“17 Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore hear the words of my mouth and give them warning from me.
18 When I say to the sinner, You shall surely die; but you have not warned him, nor have you spoken to warn the sinner from his wicked way, to save his life; the same sinner shall die in his iniquity; and his blood will I require at your hand.
19 But if you warn the sinner, and he turn not from his sin nor from his evil way, he shall die in his sins; but you have delivered your soul.
20 Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, I will lay a stumbling block before him, and he shall die; because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sins and his righteousness which he had done shall not be remembered; and his blood will I require at your hand.
21 Nevertheless, if you warn the righteous man, that he may not sin, and he does not sin, the righteous man shall surely live, because he is warned; and you have delivered your soul.”
Ezekiel 3:17-21 Peshitta, Lamsa
