Revelation 7:3-4, 9-10, 13-17
3 Do not hurt the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God upon their brows.
4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed: and it was a hundred and forty and four thousand, of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
9 After these things, I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of every nation and people, and kindred and tongue, stood before the throne, and in the presence of the Lamb, clothed with white robes and with palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God, who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb
13 And one of the elders answered and said to me, Who are these who are arrayed in white robes? And from whence did they come?
14 And I said to him, My LORD, you know. And he said to me, These are those who came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne shall shelter them.
16 They shall hunger no more; neither thirst anymore; neither shall they be stricken by the sun, nor by the heat.
17 For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them, and shall lead them to fountains of living water. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes

Revelation 7:3
3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Revelation 14
1 And I looked, and, lo, the Lamb stood on mount Sion, and with him a hundred forty and four thousand in number, having the name of his Father written on their brows. Rev 14:1 ___
2 Then I heard a voice from heaven, as the sound of many waters, and as the sound of a great thunder: and the voice I heard was as the music of many harpists playing on their harps:
3 And they sang a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts and the elders: and no man was able to learn that song, except the hundred forty and four thousand who were redeemed from the earth
4 These are those who were not defiled with women for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wheresoever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus, from among men, to be the first fruits to God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no deceit: for they are without fault.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel, to preach to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
7 Saying, with a loud voice, Serve God and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment has come: and worship him who made heaven and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
8 And another angel, a second followed him, saying, Babylon has fallen, that great city, which made all nations drink of the wine of the passion of her whoredom.
9 Then another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark on his brow, or on his hand,
10 He also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed with bitterness in the cup of his anger; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and before the throne:
11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever: and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night.
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the LORD from henceforth: Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours, for their works will follow them.
14 And I looked, and lo, I saw a white cloud, and upon the cloud sat one resembling the Son of man, having on his head a crown of gold, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, and after he cried with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud,
16 He thrust his sickle upon the earth; and the earth was harvested.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven; and he also had a sharp sickle.
18 Then out from the altar came another angel, who had power over fire; and cried with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vineyards of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe.
19 And the angel thrust his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vineyards of the earth, and cast the grapes into the winepress of the wrath of the great God.
20 And the winepress was trodden until the juice which came out reached even to the horse bridles, and the circumference of the winepress was a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Revelation 14:1

Revelation 3:17-14 – message to philadelphia
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things says he who is the holy one, he who is true, he who has the key of David, he who opens and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens;
8 I know your works: and behold, I have set before you an open door, which no man can lock, for you have but little strength and yet you have obeyed my word, and have not denied my name.
9 Behold I turn over those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
10 Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try those who dwell upon earth.
11 Behold I come quickly. Hold that fast which you have, so that no man take your crown.
12 He who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall not go out again: and I will write upon him the name of my God and the name of the new Jerusalem which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
13 He who has ears, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
14 And unto the angel of the church in Laod- i-ce’a write; These things says the Amen, the faithful, and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

Matthew 25 – Parable of ten virgins
1 Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to greet the bridegroom and the bride.
2 Five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 And the foolish ones took their lamps, but took no oil with them.
4 But the wise ones took oil in the vessels with their lamps.
5 As the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry, Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to greet him.
7 Then all the virgins got up and fixed their lamps.
8 And the foolish ones said to the wise ones, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.
9 Then the wise ones answered and said, Why, there would not be enough for us and for you; go to those who sell and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and those who were ready entered with him into the wedding house, and the door was locked.
11 Afterward the other virgins also came and said, Our lord, our lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said to them, Truly I say to you, I do not know you.
13 Be alert, therefore, for you do not know, that day nor the hour.
14 It is just like a man who went on a journey, who called his servants and put his wealth in their charge.

14 And he found in the temple those who were buying oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting.
15 And he made a whip of cord, and drove them all out of the temple, even the sheep and the oxen and the money changers; and he threw out their exchange money, and upset their trays;
16 And to those who sold doves he said, Take these away from here; do not make my Father’s house a house of trading.

19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but you are not of the world, for I have chosen you out of the world; this is why the world hates you.
20 Remember the word which I said to you, that no servant is greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will also keep yours.

John 8:23!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 John 2:15-17
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the body, and the covetousness of the eyes, and the pride of material things; does not come from the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Matthew 16:24-26
24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, He who wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.
25 For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For how will a man be benefited, if he should gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Mark 8:34-38
34 And Jesus called the people together with his disciples, and said to them, He who wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; and whoever loses his life for my sake and the sake of my Gospel, he will save it.
36 For how could a man be benefited, if he should gain the whole world and lose his life?
37 Or what could a man give in exchange for his life?
38 Whoever, therefore, is ashamed of me and of my words in this sinful and adulterous generation, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him, when he comes in the glory of his Father with his holy angels.

Luke 6:22-23, 40, 47-48
22 Blessed are you, when men hate you, and discriminate against you, and reproach you, and publish your names as bad, for the sake of the Son of man.
23 Be glad and rejoice in that day, for your reward is increased in heaven; for their fathers did the same to the prophets.
40 There is no disciple who is more important than his teacher; for every man who is well developed will be like his teacher.
47 Every man who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like.
48 He is like a man who built a house, and dug deep, and laid its foundations upon the rock; and when the flood came, the flood beat upon that house, and could not shake it; for its foundation was laid upon a rock.

2 Chronicles 16:12
12 And Asa was diseased in his feet in the thirty-ninth year of his reign, and was laid in his house.

1 Timothy 6:20
20 O Timothy, be careful of that which is entrusted to you, flee from empty echoes and from the perversion of science:

Daniel 1:4
4 Boys in whom was no blemish, who were handsome in their appearance and skillful in all wisdom and cunning in knowledge and understanding of science, those who were able to stand in the king’s palace to minister to him, and whom they might teach the learning and the language of the Chaldeans.

1 Corinthians 3:18-20
18 Let no man deceive himself. Whoever among you thinks he is wise in this world, let him consider himself a fool so that he may become wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, He catches the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The LORD knows that the thoughts of the wise are vain.

John 17:9-12, 14-18
9 What I request is for them; I make no request for the world, but for those whom you have given to me; because they are yours.
10 And everything which is mine, is yours; and what is yours is mine; and I am glorified by them.
11 Hereafter I am not in the world, but these are in the world; and I am coming to you. O holy Father, protect them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are.
12 While I was with them in the world, I protected them in your name; those you gave me I protected, and not one of them is lost, except the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.
14 I have given them your word; and the world hated them, because they were not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
15 What I request is not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should protect them from evil.
16 For they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
17 O Father, sanctify them in your truth, because your word is truth.
18 Just as you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world.

1 John 3:1
1 See how abundant the love of the Fa ther is toward us, for he has called us sons and made us: therefore the world does not know us because it did not know him.

Luke 12:29-32
29 So do not be anxious what you will eat, and what you will drink, and let not your mind be disturbed by these things.
30 For worldly people seek after all these things; and your Father knows that these things are also necessary for you.
31 But you, seek the kingdom of God; and all of these things shall be added to you.
32 Do not be afraid, O little flock; for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.

Matthew 6:31-33
31 Therefore do not worry or say, What will we eat, or what will we drink, or with what will we be clothed?
32 For worldly people seek after all these things. Your Father in heaven knows that all of these things are also necessary for you.
33 But you seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all of these things shall be added to you.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Isaiah 26:19
19 Thy dead men shall live, their dead bodies shall arise. Those who dwell in the dust shall awake and sing, for thy dew is a dew of light, and the land of the giants thou shalt overthrow.

52 And the tombs were opened; and the bodies of a great many saints who were sleeping in death rose up,
53 And they went out; and after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city, and appeared to a great many.

John 5: 25, 28-29
25 Truly, truly, I say to you, The time is coming, and it is now already here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear it will live.
28 Do not wonder at this; for the time is coming, when all those who are in the graves will hear his voice,
29 And they will come out; those who have done good works to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil works to the resurrection of judgment

John 6:39-40, 44, 54
39 This is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but should raise it up at the last day.
40 For this is the will of my Father, that whoever sees the Son and believes in him, shall have life everlasting; and I will raise him up at the last day.
44 No man can come to me, except the Father who sent me draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

15 For this we say to you by the very word of our LORD, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of our LORD shall not overtake those who are dead.
16 For our LORD himself shall descend from heaven with a shout and the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and those who died in Christ will rise first.

Visions Before Death

1. The Stoning of Stephen

Acts 7:54-60 / George Lamsa Translation
54 When they heard these things, they were enraged, and gnashed their teeth at him.
55 But he, full of faith and Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.
56 And he said, Behold I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.

57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears and with one accord, shouted threats against Stephen.
58 And they seized him and took him outside the city and began to stone him. Those who testified against him placed their clothes under the care of a young man called Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen as he prayed, saying, Our LORD Jesus, accept my spirit.
60 And as he knelt down, he cried with a loud voice and said, Our LORD, do not hold this sin against them. When he had said this, he passed away.

2. Elijah Taken to Heaven

2 Kings 2:9-14 / George Lamsa Translation
9 And when they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken away from you. And Elisha said, Let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.
10 And he said, You have asked too much; nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so to you; but if not, it shall not be so.
11 And it came to pass, as they still went on and talked, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire, and separated the two; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it and he cried, saying, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more; and he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.
13 Then he took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan;
14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the waters and said, O LORD, the God of my lord Elijah! And when he also had struck the waters of the Jordan, they parted half hither and half thither; and Elisha went over.

Isaiah 44:6-8 | George Lamsa
6 Thus says the LORD the King of Israel, and his Saviour, the LORD of hosts: I am the first and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.
7 And who is like me? Let him announce it and set it in order and declare it, since I placed the people on the earth for ever. And let them show the wonders that are coming.
8 Fear not, neither be alarmed; have not I announced to you from former time, and have declared it? You are my witnesses, that there is no God besides me, and no mighty one whom I do not know.

Soul

To Whom Does Your Soul Belong To?

Is it for God or headed for death? God can destroy both the soul and the body in hell.

Ezekiel 18:4 | George Lamsa Translation
3 As I live, says the LORD God, this proverb shall never be used again in Israel.
4 Because all souls are mine; the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine; the soul that sins, it shall die.

Ezekiel 18:20 | George Lamsa Translation
20 The soul that sins, that soul shall die. The son shall not bear the sins of his father, neither shall the father bear the sins of his son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Matthew 10:28 | George Lamsa Translation
28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but who cannot kill the soul; but above all, be afraid of him who can destroy both the soul and the body in hell.

Tithes and offering (to add more details)

Location – Treasury place

A lot of churches emphasize the importance of tithing and so aggressive in collecting their attendees or members tithes and offering. But in the bible we can see that there are several occasions where Christ sat near the treasury place while staying in the temple or teaching at the temple. From the verses in the bible we can see that the treasury has a designated place, and bags or baskets are not ushered to collect money, tithes or offering from the temple-goers which is the common practice in many churches nowadays.

John 8:1-20  | George Lamsa Translation
2 And in the morning he came again to the temple, and all the people were coming to him; and he sat down and taught them.
3 Then the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who was caught in adultery; and they made her to stand in the midst.
4 They said to him, Teacher, this woman was caught openly in the act of adultery.
5 Now in the law of Moses it is commanded that women such as these should be stoned; but what do you say?
6 They said this to tempt him, that they might have a cause to accuse him. While Jesus was bent down, he was writing on the ground.
7 When they were through questioning him, he straightened himself up and said to them, He who is among you without sin, let him first throw a stone at her.
8 And again as he bent down, he wrote on the ground.
9 And when they heard it, they left one by one, beginning with the elders; and the man woman was left alone in the midst.
10 When Jesus straightened himself up, he said to the woman, Where are they?
11 did no henceforth, do not sin again.
12 Again Jesus spoke to them and said, I am the light of the world; he who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but he shall find for himself the light of life.
13 The Pharisees said to him, You testify concerning yourself; your testimony is not true.
14 Jesus answered and said to them, Even though I testify concerning myself, my testimony is true, because I know whence I came and whither I go; but you do not know whence I came, or whither I go.
15 You judge according to the flesh; but I judge no man.
16 And if I should judge, my judgment is true; because I am not doing it alone, but I and my Father who sent me.
17 And it is written in your own law, that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I testify concerning myself, and my Father who sent me testifies concerning me.
19 They said to him, Where is your Father? Jesus answered and said to them, You know neither me, nor my Father; if you knew me, you would know my Father also.
20These words he spoke in the treasury, while he taught in the temple; and no man arrested him, for his time had not yet come.

Mark 12:41 | George Lamsa Translation
41 And when Jesus sat towards the treasury, he watched how the people cast their alms into the treasury; and many rich men were casting in a great deal.

Real giving – kind of giving that pleases God

Mark 12:41-44 | George Lamsa Translation
41 And when Jesus sat towards the treasury, he watched how the people cast their alms into the treasury; and many rich men were casting in a great deal.
42 And there came a poor widow, and she cast in two coins, which are farthings.
43 And Jesus called his disciples, and said to them, Truly I say to you, that this poor widow has cast in the treasury more than all the men who are casting;
44 For all of them cast of their abundance; but she of her poverty cast everything she had, even all of her possessions

Luke 21:1-4  | George Lamsa Translation
1 JESUS then looked at the rich men who were casting their offerings into the trea sury.
2 And he also saw a poor widow, who cast in two pennies.
3 And he said, Truly I say to you, that this poor widow has cast in more than every man.
4 For all these cast into the house of the offerings of God of their abundance; but she of her poverty cast in everything she had earned.

Possessing Powers – Even After Death (to add to sitemap)

1. Body

a. Devil is interested in Moses’ Body

Jude 1:9 | George Lamsa Translation
9 Yet Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring railing accusation against him, but said, The LORD rebuke thee.

b. Elisha’s body

2 Kings 13:20-21 | George Lamsa Translation
20 And Elisha died and they buried him. And bands of the Moabites invaded the land that very year.
21 And it came to pass as they were burying a man, behold, a band of raiders was seen; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood up on his feet.

2. Personal Effects

1. Touched Christ’s garment

Matthew 9:20-22 | George Lamsa Translation
20 And behold a woman who had had the hemorrhage for twelve years, came up from behind him, and she touched the edge of his cloak;
21 For she was saying to herself, If I can only touch his garment, I will be healed.
22 And Jesus turned around and saw her and said to her, Have courage, my daughter, your faith has healed you; and the woman was healed in that very hour.

Mark 5:25-34 | George Lamsa Translation
25 And there was a woman who had had the hemorrhage for twelve years,
26 Who had suffered much at the hands of many doctors, and had spent everything she had, and was not helped at all, but rather became worse.
27 When she heard concerning Jesus, she came through the dense crowd from behind him, and touched his cloak.
28 For she said, If I can only touch his cloak, I will live.
29 And immediately the hemorrhage was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.
30 Jesus instantly knew that some power had gone out of him; so he turned around to the people and said, Who touched my garments?
31 His disciples said to him, You see the people pressing on you, and yet you say, Who touched me?
32 And he was looking round to see who had done this.
33 But the woman, frightened and trembling, because she knew what had happened to her, came and fell before him and told him the whole truth.
34 He said to her, My daughter, your faith has healed you; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.

Luke 8:41-48 | George Lamsa Translation
43 Now a woman who had the hemorrhage for twelve years, and had spent all her wealth for doctors, could not be healed by anybody.
44 She came near him from behind, and touched the edge of his cloak; and immediately her hemorrhage stopped
45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? And when all of them denied it, Simon Peter and those who were with him said to him, Teacher, the crowds are troubling you and pressing on you, and yet you say, Who has touched me?
46 But he said, Some one has touched me, for I know that power has gone out of me.
47 When the woman saw that she could not deceive him, she came trembling, and fell down and worshipped him; and she said in the presence of all the people for what purpose she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
48 Jesus said to her, Have courage, my daughter; your faith has healed you; go in peace.

2. Paul’s garment

Acts 19:11-20 | George Lamsa Translation
11 And God wrought great miracles by the hands of Paul:
12 So that even when, of the clothes on his body, pieces of garments were brought and laid upon the sick, diseases were cured, and even the insane were restored.
13 Now certain Jews, who went about exorcising evil spirits, invoked the name of our LORD Jesus over those who were possessed, saying, We adjure you in the name of Jesus whom Paul preaches.
14 And there were seven sons of one Sce’va, a Jew, and chief of the priests, who did this.
15 And the insane man answered and said to them, Jesus I recognize and Paul I know; but who are you?
16 Then the insane man leaped on them, and overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
17 And this became known to all the Jews and Arameans (Syrians) who dwelt at Eph’esus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of our LORD Jesus Christ was magnified.
18 And many of them that believed came, and told their faults, and confessed what they had done.
19 Many magicians also gathered together their books and brought them and burned them before the presence of the people; and they counted the price of them, and it amounted to fifty thousand pieces of silver.
20 So mightily grew the faith of God and greatly increased in numbers.

3. Elijah’s mantle

2 Kings 2:8-15 | George Lamsa Translation
8 Then Elijah took his mantle and wrapped it together and struck the waters of the Jordan, and they were divided half hither and half thither, so that they two crossed on dry ground.
13 Then he took up the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and went back and stood by the bank of the Jordan;
14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the waters and said, O LORD, the God of my lord Elijah! And when he also had struck the waters of the Jordan, they parted half hither and half thither; and Elisha went over.
15 And when the sons of the prophets who came to watch at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
